Was in Abeokuta yesterday to see the governor, Dapo Abiodun, on sundry political and developmental issues. It was a heart to heart talk. I admire Governor Abiodun’s calmness , his humility and businesslike approach to governance. His aides were very professional too.

I saw everyone beautifully kitted in the locally produced adire attire. I am told all staffers are expected to wear this dresses made with this local fabric on Fridays. That is huge for the local tie and dye business in the state.

Was also informed that an online platform has been built for manufacturers of adire by the government to transact their businesses. With that you can order your choice of adire online and it will be delivered anywhere in the world. What a creative way to assist local enterprise.
