Middle school STEM educators who live outside Alabama can apply for the Dr. Ernst & Irmgard Stuhlinger Educator Scholarship to attend Space Academy for Educators. Program dates are June 5 - June 10 and June 26 - July 1. The deadline to apply is April 25.

Unless schools have some sort of direct means of control and accountability over parents, then the community will control the school and they will end up with the school they deserve.

Looks like a simple #STEM build that could be extended with some good challenges (like “how long does it fly with x twists”, “what if we change the propeller to 3 or 5 blades”, “does the tail help stabilize?”)

Last year I was ready to leave the classroom. 3 interviews later. Nothing panned out. This year trying to decide what to do. Next year is year 30 in a classroom. Never ever thought I’d still be hanging in there. Some days it’s by a hope & a prayer.
