Multiple recent cases of apparent wildlife feeding is prompting AZ Game & Fish Dept to remind the public it's against state law in Pima & Pinal; birds & squirrels exempt. Also unlawful in Santa Cruz & Cochise. Fed wildlife lose fear of people. Up to $300 fine. Report it to 800-352-0700.

A possibly rabid fox today on the Florida Canyon Trail, Santa Ritas. The fox would not yield the trail to hikers, was undeterred by trekking poles & pursued them when they retreated. Hikers unhurt. If seen call 623-236-7201 ASAP, leave area, seek shelter, get MD treatment if hurt

Visitors flock to Lake Cochise to view thousands of migratory sandhill cranes roosting there Thurs. The lake is just five minutes away from the free Wings Over Willcox Nature Expo, underway through Sun. Nearly 40k sandhill cranes are in SE AZ now. Best seen at dawn, & after noon.
