when the male reg im working with asks a (clueless passerby) male f1 a question about specific patient referral pathways when I have just told him, and shown him the flowchart. i repeat, and i am ignored. a female f2 gives me a look of sympathy. the lady doth see a pattern.

There is no particular reason UK F2s can’t similarly be trained more rapidly to become accomplished and independent specialists, Wes Streeting. UK medical training is some of the longest - read, least efficient - in the world. If you want to revolutionise NHS care, start here.

Whats the point of being rude about F1s when we're all working in a shoddy training program that doesn't care about any of us

called GP, no answer ➡️ called 111, directed me to pharmacy ➡️ pharmacy rung and directed me to UTC in the next town over and advise me to speak to my GP 🙃 no wonder people just end up going to A&E

The UK is decades behind at best. Basic facilities that most of us don’t have as doctors: 1. An office space solely for the team 2. A clean area to work 3. At least one workstation per doctor 4. Available drinking water that is readily accessible 5. A window in a room to work

Most people have no idea how bad the UK doctor training system really is. It demands double the training time of other countries, pays doctors less at every stage, and then often keeps them “junior” even after they finish all their training. Look at the numbers. 🧵⬇️

Hello Resident Doctors We’ve now shared the offer from Wes Streeting. On the headline, it sounds big: “4,000 jobs.” But you need to read the detail, not the headline. First: it’s only 1,000 more jobs this year. We currently have around 10,000 training posts and more than 30,000

Right so what exactly are we supposed to do if this vaccine was not and isn’t offered to us on the NHS? Am I missing something here?
