So I've read Dawn of Yangchen and its just... its boring. I didn't connect with the characters nearly as well as the ones surrounding Kyoshi and hinestly it felt like Yangchen didn't grow or struggle at all. The book is still worth a read but don't go in expecting Kyoshi 2.0

The fact that Kuruk is the "cool older brother" type when he offers Kyoshi guidence is perfect. Reminds me of how Kyoshi is depicted as overbearing and motherly twoards Roku. Not all past Avatars should be wise and sage like when giving advice to a succesor
