It’s possible to shorten the work week without losing productivity. 4-day week pilot for 15 months w/full pay: -Performance improved or sustained on 22/24 measures -Motivation & mental health climbed -Turnover dropped by 39% It's better to have 4 focused days than 5 distracted.

I want to create a startup super group of like 10 people where we each have like one specific super strong skill and only one person with that skill is allowed into that group and we all just help each other succeed and then occasionally get a lil' wine drunk

The way that Jensen Huang runs Nvidia is wild: 40 direct reports. No 1:1s. No formal planning cycles. And no status reports. In a recent interview, he went in-depth on his Leadership style. Every entrepreneur must understand why it works:

The very first thing I noticed is how hard Jensen works. He has been working 14 hours a day for decades. Very few have a strong enough mindset to even step into the ring with this man.

In a capitalist system, where the need to make a living is inescapable, the phrase "do what you love" feels less like inspiration and more like a passive-aggressive taunt. We all have to work to survive, if work was as simple as doing what we love, wouldn't we all be doing it?

Society loves to romanticize work, often using tropes like "do what you love" to sell us on something we all have to do, much like when leaders refer to teams as “families” or make grandiose statements about a purpose-based mission while really just aiming to make as profit.

i don’t expect a billionaire to lead the revolution or anything i’m just confused as to why one would make a movie about standing up for what’s right at any cost only to literally never stand for anything again

If you told me I’d have my reflection mirrored back to me in nearly every meeting I was in—post 2020–I wouldn’t have believed you.

A simple way to improve your mood is to curate your feed. Evidence: People were randomly assigned to unfollow accounts that spewed hostility, hyperpartisan views, and low-quality information. 6 months later, they had significantly higher well-being and lower outgroup animosity.
