Trace rolled his eyes and tucked his tail away, tilting his head to the side and shrugging his shoulders. “Now you can’t tell. That’s the fun part, Liam. You and I, we’re different. But nobody has to know that we’re different unless we let them know.”

“But you understand what I mean though, right? Regardless of if people know or not, I can always appear normal. And if I can’t?” Trace trailed off and flicked his wrists and his claws extended, a thick layer of venom on the tips. “I do what I have to do.”

“I know that I’m not immortal. I’ve died before, Liam, remember?” Trace could practically smell Theo all over Liam and he could only snarl lightly at the scent. “/Twice,/ actually.”
