Matt Painter was looking to add a player who could provide the following: ▶️ Ballhandling ▶️ Quickness ▶️ Defense Enter Lance Jones (Lance Jones), who's proving to be the perfect fit for No. 1 Purdue Men's Basketball. 🚂

Lance Jones' father, Robert, died August 29. The SIU transfer had yet to play a game for Purdue Men's Basketball, but the whole team attended the funeral. 🖤 The Journey shares Jones' story. ⤵️

Xavier Johnson shot 20 free throws in the game against UIC, a new program record, surpassing Charlie Vaughn's record of 18 attempted vs Belmont on 1/18/60. Johnson also set school record for free throw makes with 18 of the 20. Charlie Vaughn made 16 vs Villa Madonna 12/27/60

Yup, all of this. SIU hired a first time head coach in his early 30s and gave him 5 years. He took over a team that had nothing leftover and made them competitive right away. SIU messed this one up big time. Bryan will be fine tho, he’s gonna make SIU regret it. Just watch.
