Y2 had a wonderful RE morning at the end of last term, exploring three different religions: Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. They explored the importance of Holy Communion for Christians and were introduced to the concept of pilgrimages. #dreambelieveachieve

WOW! We were blown away to have received this letter in the post from Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, Minister for Schools, to share that Aureus Primary School is in the top 5% of primary schools in the country in terms of progress between KS1 and KS2! #dreambelieveachieve

Our brand new Eco Team met yesterday for the first time to discuss what they wanted to achieve in their new roles. They spoke about looking after our school environment and wondered whether they could think about ways to encourage others to recycle more around school.

Year 1 had a fabulous trip to Beale Park yesterday to enhance their Wider Curriculum learning this term, exploring animals and living things. They showed excellence when out in the community and were even told that they were the best behaved school to board the Beale Park train!

Darwin Class have absolutely loved learning about life cycles through the classroom addition of some chicks! They were able to first see them in their eggs and then, amazingly, were able to watch some of them hatch before their very eyes!

This week, Kandinsky Class have been thinking about how to write instructions. Their task was to write instructions entitled ‘How to make a picnic for a bear’. To bring their learning to life, the children acted as the Kandinsky Bears to make their very own picnic!

Our Year 5s were lucky enough to go and make the most of the wonderful facilities at Aureus School recently, when designing prototypes for their Ancient Greek clay pots. Thank you to the team for organising this collaborative session! #dreambelieveachieve

Our wonderful Aureus Primary School choir have attended their second Festival of voices concert at Dorchester Abbey, where they sang a range of songs in front of a sold out audience! We are so proud of the professionalism and respect they show at these events. Well done everyone.

Our year 3's have been on an amazing trip to Campagna Di Fratelli to learn how to make their own pizzas. They have been exploring European culture and how food differs around Europe. This was an amazing opportunity to experience how Italian food is made from the raw ingredients

Celebrating Outstanding SATs Results at Aureus Primary School! We are delighted to share the exceptional SATs results of our Year 6 children, which are significantly higher than national average:

Reading  - 94% of children achieved the expected standard. Writing - 90% of children achieved the expected standard. Maths - 94% of children achieved the expected standard. Combined (Reading, Writing, and Maths) - 90% of children achieved the expected standard.
