Tired Auror noises. Though, he supposes that’s sort of a perpetual state of being for them, isn’t it?

Immediately jerks bolt upright in his chair. No, he hadn’t fallen asleep – who ever insinuated such a thing?

It’s been ten days, but he 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 he’s still feeling the effects of the last moon. He woke up this morning with a splitting headache, so that was absolutely amazing.

No one’s allowed to accuse him of being a surly bastard today. With everything he puts up with, he reckons he’s allowed to be grumpy now and again.

Which means he’s doing his job, doesn’t it?

He certainly does his best. He’s grateful she thinks so. He’s just doing his job.

Is she sure she’s not just saying that? Having someone watching over your shoulder all the time – even if it’s for your own protection – has to get irritating eventually. It wouldn’t be the first time.

Two weeks until the next full moon. That’s just fuckin’ brilliant, that is.

One can never be too careful. He’d send them away if he could (and well, technically it 𝐢𝐬 up to him, to a point), but her safety is paramount. He’d hate for anything to happen to her, that’s all. He’s glad she thinks so. He, er… has been 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 hinself, too.
