Good night Jesus. In many of Your parables the enemy is after one thing. Our understanding of Your Word–putting it into action. He doesn’t care if we sing about it, quote it, or hear it preached. As long as we don’t take action. Deliver us from that evil. Help me hear and obey.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. Don’t let me wear Your name like a brand. Or treat Your words as slogans. I want to know You in the fellowship of Your suffering. Let my love be “Father forgive them. They don’t know what they do.” Not “Protect me from them so they don’t hurt my feelings.”✌🏼

Good night Jesus. Abundant life is choosing to believe in You, not the lies of this present reality. It’s not sticking my head in the sand and ignoring problems. You are the answer to every problem. So I don’t have problems–in You I have answers! The Answer! Your abundant life.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. Paul said… “to the Jews I became like a Jew.” He was talking about reaching out to those who were in a religious system and culture that had repeatedly tried to kill him. Help me have that same kind of compassion and outreach mindset. Love first. Me last.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. Bone tired tonight from good things today. But I really understand why You said the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. There are many kinds of flesh tiredness. Sometimes it’s emotional. But tired isn’t who I am, it’s just a sign to rest and not stress.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. You did some amazing things around disciple-making tables this morning. Part of it was an example of my own weakness–revealing Your strength. Thank You for the freedom to confess our faults one to another, & pray for each other. That’s how You make us whole!✌🏼

Good night Jesus. There is so much going on and so much to do soon, but I still have peace and joy–not stress and worry. I know the old me, and that is a miracle! Following You gets better and better. What used to be problems, I see now as opportunities for Your light to shine.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. Seems like there’s a herd of donkeys in the ditch on this Sabbath. But in You Sabbath isn’t about ritual it’s about dying. Daily. To my selfishness & pride. Resting in You isn’t just about my agenda. It’s about a transformed mind & heart. Help me rest today.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. As I taught about disciple-making today, some new words came out of my mouth. “Fruitlessness is lostness.” That’s been heavy on my heart. Your parable of the talents is sobering. Help me be a multiplier of the potential You’ve given me, not an excuse maker.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. Today was a lovely whirlwind. I’m beginning to understand how You could nap in the boat while the storm raged. Life isn’t about the storms, or lack of them, it’s about knowing the Father like You do. That brings crazy peace and joy–no matter the circumstances.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. I spent years trying to work hard in the Kingdom to somehow pay You back for the grace and mercy I didn’t deserve. I thought frustration, worry, and hurt feelings were just my cross to bear. Now I know Your abundant life is freedom from that shame and guilt.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. When the world is in chaos, You aren’t. If my world seems out of control, You are still in control. I don’t have to understand everything to have perfect peace. Let the storms rage. Let the nations wage their wars. I’m in Your unshakable Kingdom now & forever.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. 60. It’s just a number but I didn’t expect to get to it so soon. Birthdays remind us that life is just a vapor. But thanks to You, mine isn’t. Today is just one more day of abundant, eternal life. And as long as I’m here on earth–I’m here to shine Your love.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. I don’t think I’ve seen the news today. We, or they, might be blowing stuff up. But You said it was going to get bad. So if this is it, what should we do? Worry? Fret? Fear? Condemn? Get mad? No. You said rejoice. That’s what the Acts church did. So should we.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. It’s so much easier to be against something than for something. Don’t let me fall for the trap of trying to prove I’m right & the rest of the world is wrong. You are the Way, the Truth, & the Life. It’s Your Truth that sets us free–not my clever comebacks.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. There was something I needed today. Prayed for it. Believed. Didn’t worry about it. But it didn’t happen. So what do I do? Worry now? Wonder what I did wrong? No. I’m God’s child. My Daddy’s rich & loves me. Circumstances don’t change Your truth. I’m blessed.✌🏼

Good morning Jesus. What would You do in my shoes today? You showed us what agape love looks like in human flesh. I don’t want to just know that. Study that. Talk about that. I want to live Your love daily. Every word. Every step. Help me shine somebody else’s shoes today.✌🏼

Good night Jesus. As a kid, I wanted to be famous. Rich. A rockstar or a scientist. I’m not any of that, but I am a believer. You taught me how to really believe Your words and to walk by faith. If You said it, I can live it. That’s what I believe. It’s an amazing Way to live!✌🏼
