The idea of adding sensor and intelligence to basic objects was discussed throughout the 1980's and 1990's (though some events were taking place in the 19th century!) but progress was slow because the technology wasn't in place #IoT

The majority of audio systems have a single microphone, so one data channel to work with. Few systems have multiple channels. @cambwireless
