Day one of FFA state convention! Today we packaged meals for the heartland. We also attended the first session and got to explore the career fair. Then to end the night off, some of our members attended the FFA fun night!

Stop at the Cass County Community Center before 10am to get some Flowers from the Atlantic FFA Greenhouse. Don’t forget the greenhouse will also be open next week from 4-6pm

Atlantic FFA members planted our potatoes today. They will be ready for harvest when school starts again next fall. The potatoes will be used for school lunch, FFA meetings & sold to the public. Watch for sales info in September! Thanks to Kleen Farms for providing equipment

Yesterday the Atlantic FFA officer team attended the COLT (chapter officer leadership training) at Atlantic High School. They learned leadership and teamwork skills through stations led by district and state officers.

Stop by the Cass County Fair grounds and check out the YMCA Touch a Truck program. Lots of interesting equipment for kids to experience. Stop by and get a burger or hotdog from the Atlantic FFA.

Congratulations to the Atlantic FFA Floriculture team for placing 34 out of 48 teams at the Iowa FFA State Floriculture CDE Maggie, Lily and Addalyn earned a Silver at today Kirkwood Community College

Congratulations to the Atlantic FFA Horse judging team for placing 14 out of 34 teams at the Iowa FFA State Horse Judging CDE Kayedance, Clara, Rylan and Paislee earned a Silver at today Kirkwood Community College Callie also judged as Middle school individual earning Silver

Congratulations to the Atlantic FFA Livestock judging team for completing at the SE District Livestock Judging CDE at Kirkwood Community College. Lauren, Joaquin and Hayden will find out results later this week.

Attention Atlantic FFA members and parents, please register with the Bound App BEFORE the school year starts. Physicals are not required to join FFA but the health and injury card needs to be uploaded.

Congratulations to the Atlantic FFA members who participated in the Cass County Fair Royalty contest on Thursday. Special congratulations to Makayla for being selected as the 2024 Princess and Claire for being selected the 2024 Cass County Fair Queen.

The Cass County Fair is over for another year. Thank you very much to all of the kids, parents, volunteers. superintendents, extension staff, club leaders and advisors who help make who continue to make the Cass County Fair so successful.

Today the Southwest District held Greenhand Fire-Up camp at Atlantic high school! Over 400 FFA members attended. Members were put into groups where they learned the importance of being authentic, how to meet new people & make new friends, to discover opportunities in FFA & SAE!
