So The Green Party now have 4 seats - as many as the revolting Reform party are forecast to get. So why in god’s name is BBC News (UK) rabbiting on about Reform still and not talking about extraordinary Green performance??

Key chart to keep in mind as the Conservatives suffer their worst ever defeat: The Tories didn’t lose this election because they were too right wing on some issues or too left wing on others. They lost because voters of all stripes judged them to be incompetent and dishonest.

Our prisons are overflowing , yet 5 peaceful protestors have been remanded awaiting sentences for protesting climate breakdown . . . here's a radical idea– stop jailing protestors . They're not the fire , they're raising the alarm ! Thursday @ 4pm Southwark Crown Court

I've just been sentenced to 5 years in prison. The longest ever for nonviolent action. The 'crime'? Giving a talk on civil disobedience as an effective, evidence-based method for stopping the elite from putting enough carbon in the atmosphere to send us to extinction. I have

The longest sentence handed down to a violent racist rioter this week is shorter than the sentences imposed on entirely peaceful environmental protesters last month. Labour must repeal the Tory laws that treat peaceful protest more severely than violent disorder and assault.

Apparently Reform leader Nigel Farage MP believes two thirds of Brits would back joining Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the European Convention on Human Rights. If you think he’s talking boll**** RT this to let him know inews.co.uk/news/politics/…

Despite best efforts of cold drizzle & wind, we had a good, if long, day mostly spent Cornwall Beaver project, magical habitat created by the beavers, unlike anything else I’ve seen in the UK. Later we did see a beaver in the pool, after a rather long wait!

No bouillabaisse on the menu at the Shed in the village but excellent hake & chips, scallops with celeriac & pancetta and unusually good sides - hispi cabbage with miso, fennel & cucumber slaw, fennel baked with tomato & pimentón

Another gloriously sunny day in west Wales. Had a pootle round St David’s this morning, then a bit more of the coastal path - couldn’t go down to “our” beach as the seals are there - you can just see their tracks in the sand & there was a baby on the rocks

Imagine if they spent £22 billion on restoring peat bogs, the oceans, forests (proven carbon capture), or on public transport, insulation, solar – literally anything but this, which is just playing into the hands of the fossil fuel bros and delaying the transition to green energy

On such days the immortal words in 2002 of former Whitehall permanent secretary Sir Richard Mottram re-echo down the ages: “We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. We're all completely fucked.”

I’ve reduced the number of accounts I’m following here by almost half! Some apparently defunct but those which are still active and of interest are mostly on Bluesky now
