Linear reduction of dose and even what feels like collimating just a little oftenm covers half of the area of the field of view. One debated aspect is "steep angulations" Just a few degree of angulations will double the dose.

So chose angulations wisely and do not do unnecessary ones. Important also frame rate! 7.5 frames/s is absolutely enough for coronary work.
