Proposal for the Zhoushan Grand Theatre
The extension by the Opera Pier towards the boats offshore becomes a line of affirmation, a poetic and living exception which, in the heart of the city, connects, welds to the times, the bridges, the Opera-pier and the new South district.

Zhoushan Grand Theatre, China

Placed on the water, a pier creates a promenade moving above the sea, with bars, restaurants, shops, markets.

It invents a calm destination of fascination and observations of the city's skylines, stars and clouds.

Pritzker-winning Jean Nouvel sought inspiration for the concept of the #LouvreAbuDhabi in traditional Arabic architectural culture. Its white buildings are reminiscent of medinas and low-lying Arab settlements. The vast dome is the result of a highly-studied geometric design 📐
