Some of these men might still be alive today if they had felt able to speak to someone about how they were feeling. That’s why our core message is: When the going gets tough, get talking. #TalkingSavesLives Learn more about #BoysDoCry: BoysDoCry.com.au

The holiday season is a time to spread hope. Despite the ongoing challenges we’re facing, it’s important to know you are not alone - help is always available. Check in on those around you this week and continuing spreading hope whenever possible

My heart breaks for #Sinead O’Connor & everyone who loses a loved one to suicide. We still aren’t doing enough to prevent suicide especially among young people. Suicide is one of leading causes of death among our youth - please shout this from roof tops so that more is done

I am primarily known for my emphasis on values in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Values are a sort of center for me when I lose my way--including with clients. If values are my center of gravity, self and identity are my other center of gravity. 1/x

I do not practice a "type" of psychotherapy. The therapy I provide is based on my case formulation for a specific person. I have never provided the same therapy twice. It is therapy for that person alone. This is something outcome researchers seem incapable of grasping.

I've added 6 short tutorials on using code chunks within quarto/RStudio. All just intro stuff for my students, but feel free to use. youtube.com/playlist?list=… via YouTube

1/ The goal of legit psychotherapy is to live fully & freely, with meaning, passion, and pleasure Remember passion & pleasure? No, most of the mental health profession has long forgotten. For too many, the goal seems to be a sterile cardboard facsimile of "mental health,”

1/ We are the “authors” of all our thoughts & actions. We claim ownership of some of our thoughts and actions and disclaim ownership of others When we claim ownership, we tend to use the word “I.” I did this. I said that When we disclaim ownership, we tend to use the word “it”

This is the only way. Study, train, get regular & ongoing clinical supervision/consultation, get meaningful personal psychotherapy… and put in the hours doing the work. There are no shortcuts
