Spoke to a pig farmer this morning who told me that in ten years, he has increased his productivity by over 50% (23 pigs/sow/Yr to 34 pigs and FCR from 2.6 to 2.1). He put it all down to #geneticgain. Vital message for Genus ABS to keep taking into other livestock sectors?
