What a special weekend. Last night was the first ARCHIVED NASA Astronauts Reunion since COVID. There is an incredibly special bond between those who have shared the unique experience of orbiting this planet while serving our country.

One Texas A&M University involving Reveille is if she barks in a classroom, class is dismissed. I think the theory is that if even the dog is bored, you should dismiss the class 😄 I’ve never had her in one of my classes but I would absolutely respect the tradition.

One of the greatest lessons learned from this tragedy is the danger of suppressing alternate opinions on engineering and safety issues. “These astronauts knew the dangers, and they faced them willingly, knowing they had a high and noble purpose in life.”#Columbia20years

Facts: 1. A horse's kick can transfer a force of >10,000 Newtons to the body. 2. It takes ~4,000 newtons of force to break the typical human femur. Facts are confirmed. Ouch!

My TAMU Engineering students have been so amazingly sweet to me as I recover from my injuries. They are kind, compassionate individuals and will be great leaders.
