Disability rights are important to the Youth Assembly. In our Big Youth Survey, young people identified disability rights, equality, awareness and services as being important issues. 1 in 4 people here have a disability. Not all disabilities are the same and some are hidden!

We were delighted to welcome participants from the Women Crossing Borders project to Parliament Buildings. The women from the @RathcooleCREW and @InishowenDevelopmentPartnership took part in an Assembly Explained Workshop and watched a committee meeting from the public gallery.

Our last Assembly Explained workshop for 2024 was an excellent full day session with Women’s Spaces – a Seat at the Table, with a great mix of urban and rural women. If you would like to book a bespoke session for your group please email [email protected]
