The UK government is to scrap border checks on fruit and veg imported from the EU in a move that will ease trade ahead of its new SPS deal with the EU. The easement has been extended from 1 July 2025 to 31 January 2027. More info: ow.ly/LHfa50W48wg

#HMRC will implement changes to CDS this weekend, in release 4.8.0. To simplify some GVMS export journeys, goods that meet specific conditions will be allowed to depart from a different location than originally declared, without the need to submit a new export declaration.

As part of CDS Release 4.8.0 (scheduled for 14 June 2025), HMRC will update the Declaration Information Service (DIS) to include community goods (CO) declarations, alongside imports (IM) and exports (EX). asm.org.uk/en/news-update…

Following the release of CDS 4.8.0 over the weekend, HMRC has updated the Cash Account section of the Manage your Import Declarations and VAT Accounts (MIDVA) service. You no longer need to contact HMRC to generate a Cash Account Dashboard report for over 5,000 transactions.
