This week we saw an entire conservative media ecosystem spread misinformation on behalf of 0.13% of the wealthiest Canadians. People whose wealth is so great this tax will mean nothing to most of them. Going to bat for the richest of the rich is an incredible waste of democracy.

For those bemoaning the capital gains on individuals: please note 99.87 percent of Canadians are not affected.

There are more vice presidents at Metrolinx than there are daily train departures from Union Station on the Kitchener, Milton, Barrie, and Richmond Hill rail corridors – combined.

Metrolinx has more vice presidents than some of their train routes have daily scheduled trains. I believe public sector jobs should be plenty and well compensated to meet a population's needs, but this is not an example of that, this is mimicking private sector bloat at the top.

Conservatives are getting super comfortable thinking they're awaiting a coronation in the next federal election, so they'll push the envelope more and more into these ugly areas. These are culture warriors whose worldview was developed from racist 1990s talk radio rants.
