The visitation and funeral service for Officer James Muhlbauer and K-9 Champ will be Wednesday, February 22nd at Municipal Auditorium, 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, MO.

A public visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. the funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. after the service Full Honors will be presented on 13th St. in front of the auditorium. There will be an Honor Guard on 13th St. There will be no graveside services.

For anyone wishing to show their support along the procession route from Municipal Auditorium to the funeral home, here is the route:   13th to Broadway, NB on Broadway to the Buck O'Neil Bridge which turns into 169 Hwy, NB on 169 Hwy exiting to Vivion Rd, EB on Vivion to Antioch

NB on Antioch to 64th, EB on 64th turning into Antioch.  ALL vehicles except family and invited guests in the procession will disband upon passing the funeral home for the family to see.  There are no graveside services.

Officer Jim Muhlbauer loved watching his son play soccer. Now, there's a memorial bench in Muhlbauer's honor that overlooks where his son practices. Muhlbauer's friends, family, & fellow department members helped fundraise the construction of the bench at Happy Rock Park.
