Louisiana decided to ignore Black voters and enacted a Congressional map that ignored our people. Legal Defense Fund came in and represented myself and other plaintiffs in suing the state for a fair map. Today we got a map passed with two minority majority district! This is history!

I can’t stress how big of a win this is for Louisiana. We are a leader in the South for once. Also, extremely happy my amendment to have a 15% low income & a 10% renters allocation in the budget was accepted. We must prioritize those who need help the most.
