🥤 MSYP for Inverness and Nairn @MollieMSYP proposes a Motion on making spiking a criminal offence, with cara Cusick speaking in opposition:

First member motion of #SYP79 proposed by @molliemsyp Eastwood is all in favour of this mollie and our constituency as a whole were shocked to know this was not already law!

Motion number 2 of the day proposed by Caitlin . Eastwood vote strongly agree for this motion so we thank Caitlin for bringing forward such an important topic.

💨 Emma Prach MSYP and Marcus Flucker MSYP MSYP ask for Members support to join growing calls to ban single-use vapes due to the recognised environmental impact:

Motion 4 of #SYP79 Eastwood was very strongly agree with this one too and are very much in favour!

Motion number 5 from Marcus and emma. Eastwood had some mixed response on this but majority agreeing. Our council was one of few in scotland to vote against this issue and we urge them to reconsider and take young peoples views in our council into thought.

Motion 3 of the day to support young carers more in secondary school. Eastwood also voted strongly for this motion so thank you!

Motion number 6 presented to reduce overdose rates by rolling out Naloxone training. Eastwood was very much in favour with 80% agreeing this was a huge issue. Thank you Logan and Ryan!

As young people across Scotland go back to school this week, we need decision-makers to take a rights-based approach to education. To do this, we should embed Article 29 of the UNCRC into the system to give young people an education that fully develops them. #SYPCampaigns #UNCRC
