🚨A Cherokee County inmate escaped custody this afternoon at a doctor’s visit. Director of 911 used the term “active shooter.” Person led troopers on a chase through Cherokee, Clay and Macon counties before being rearrested. There were injuries, severity not disclosed. WLOS
