The Robins line up from a meeting in 1949. My Mum & Dad would have been in that crowd @ The Abbey, as would a lot of other parents of current fans would have been. Swindon is a Speedway Town & the sport must not be allowed to fade away & lost to a new generation of supporters.

What a night at Oxford Speedway the boys done me proud and we beat Scotland. Then was a golden heat to decide the series and we won the whole thing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙌🏻🏁🥇🏆 🦁 #Oxford Stadium. thanks to the other venues had the guys, I’ll be at them too next year Glasgow Tigers Berwick Bandits Speedway

Remembering David Ashby who passed away OTD in 2015. Although David had spells with Second Division clubs Peterborough & Milton Keynes he spent the majority of his career with Swindon, making almost 200 appearances for the Robins between 1972-79. R.I.P. David.
