These photos of the flooding from Hurricane Ida in Louisiana make us wonder what Maryland would like after such a storm. Hurricane Isabel in 2003 had a storm surge of 8 feet in the Chesapeake. #Ida #resiliency weather.com/photos/news/20…

Here is a video of the rotating circular storm (perhaps tornado) that ripped all the tree tops off in the pic in the earlier tweet. Pic taken by staff member Jonathan Bland from our office near Rt 2 bridge on the south River. #storm #southriver

Thursday's rains from Hurricane Ida means that we expect high levels of bacteria through Saturday. These results were taken before the rains. Have a safe and fun Labor day weekend. This is the last week of testing for the summer. 😎🐟🌲⛵️

Many hands make light work! My heart is full from the 100 volunteers who turned out today - with just 24 hours notice - to help clear the tornado’s destruction from the historic Parole neighborhood! THANK YOU, #Annapolis! #HurricaneIda

Strange sighting on the Rhode River! We are used to seeing a variety of water craft out on our rivers, but this cutting edge vessel took us by surprise! #SERC

Wow! Check out how Annapolis Landing, our newest restoration project, handled the storm flows from Hurricane Ida. The reconnected floodplain now spreads out the flow across the valley. Thanks to community member Bill G. for capturing our project in action!

Tomorrow, these giant cranes for the port of Baltimore will be heading from Thomas Pt. and passing under the Bay Bridge. They’re shutting down the bridge to car traffic to prevent accidents from distracted drivers. #BigCranes #CoolShips pic: Dianne Sullivan

Frog eggs in a new wetland pool constructed last week! It didn't take long for the frogs to make themselves at home in this newly created habitat. 🐸

For those of you concerned about the booms coming from the middle of the South River, fear not. Historic London Town & Gardens is firing cannons for an event with the midshipmen!

Don't rake those leaves! Leaf litter is beneficial for your yard and local wildlife by providing food and habitat. potomac.org/blog/2021/10/1…
