The earliest recorded history of baseball in Tilston comes from the Reston Recorder (Newspaper), from June 22, 1908. When a neighboring team from Sinclair visited, but were defeated by the hometeam. The game was played on SW-22-5-29.

With the coming of the railroad, the ball diamond was moved to the West side of town. In 1923, Tilston played in a League with Broomhill, Bede and Huston. Tilston was the winner of the league that year. In the 1930’s, until the end of the second World War, no leagues operated.

20 years ago Birdy and I coached a girls hockey team in Pierson that these two young ladies played on. This weekend my daughter Charly played in U18 Provincial tournament in Pierson and look who was giving back, volunteering in the canteen. #PiersonProud
