GP numbers have decreased/plateaued in number as other Service providers have increased in number, has service provision and satisfaction levels improved? “We can’t afford GPs” they say…, but economics and the NHS survival says “You can’t afford not to have them”

Old Trafford regeneration will benefit all of the North. By removing freight trains from the city centre, the railways will work better for everyone. By relocating freight terminals to other parts of the North West, growth will be spread. The Government is right to back it. 🙌🏻

Tonight, The Blackpool Tower will light up in purple to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) and remember the six million lives lost during the Holocaust. This year also marks 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Every school & every community needs a library & a librarian, to help every child find the books that will make them readers. Because those are the books that will change their lives - and maybe even save their lives! #SaveLibraries

What's in a word? A lot, actually. The words we use matter. Words mean something, potentially different things, to different people. It matters that we leave spaces between us to explore, to understand, the meanings of the words we use. Not just assume that our meanings align.

When I pause to appreciate small things close by, it's not because I'm ignoring the big stuff. I think it's a way of not becoming gripped by feeling completely overwhelmed and utterly powerless. Maybe there's a little, gentle power in that.

If you feel it’s going to “shit” in our country go speak with your neighbour, have a conversation, then the person on bus,in the cafe, in the shops. Smile at all of them, agree on something, see what happens. It’s not all someone else’s “fault” it is ALL of our responsibilities.
