One of the cutest highlights from our Oh My Gourd camp. We are all about fostering imaginative engagement with the natural world. Big shout out to Belleville Heart Garden to growing our loofah monsters (donating inspirational botanical art materials)!

Fun fact, the “knees”or upward growing roots of a Bald Cypress tree are called pneumatophores and are theorized to provide structural support and oxygen absorption, but no one really knows why they grow…

Artscope’s philosophy centers around the development of creative skills in young people. At Artscope we believe that creativity is a skill that can be developed with practice, not a special talent a child either has or doesn’t have, whether they're naughty or nice!

Artscope is proud to offer local schools an artist-in-residence, providing much-needed access to arts education for students who may not otherwise benefit from the creative and life skills that are developed through art-making!
