A great start to our painting half term in Y6. The children are exploring the colour theory further whilst understanding the medium choices of their key artist, Roman Halter 🎨

Wow Year 4, these are incredible! We definitely have some future entrepreneurs - I know I would invest into these beautiful lights. Great work 👏🏼

Ending our collage half term with some 📸 of our brilliant artwork. The children have loved working with mixed media to create their pieces. Here are Y4’s outcomes, inspired by Suzanne Siegel with an added touch of photomontage (linking perfectly to their core text)🐬 Roundhay Year 4

Focusing on Nancy Standlee’s work, Y3 have produced the ‘sweetest’ cupcakes this half term. Beautiful intricate detailing 🧁

Inspired by their core text, The Explorer, Y5 created tropical flowers this half term. We were in awe of Susan Schenk’s so had to give it a go ourselves 🌺 Roundhay School Y5

Y6 then linked that to their Egyptians unit and finished with creating the most eye-catching pieces. Lots of hard work went into these outcomes and we are super impressed, well done Roundhay Year 6 💎

I absolutely love this. You can see DT subject progression, high value is obviously given to the subject in school and children are inspired to look forward to projects they will undertake in their future. Wish I had thought of this for my school.
