Happy to hear that the fight is off and De Los Santos still receives his full purse. It’s what should happen every time a fighter thinks it’s acceptable to intentionally blow the weight.

Aug. 16th really coming together. Love the Cacace vs Ford fight. Whyte is completely washed but he’s a notable scalp for Itauma nonetheless.

Got a lot of time for Lew. But feel he stuck around the amateurs for too long. Doesn’t have a pro-friendly style, nor the time to develop his into one.

That was an absolute shellacking and I wouldn’t have complained if Davison had pulled Wardley out earlier. Then BOOM… that happens. Huni delivers a career-best performance & it means nothing. This sport is great (sometimes).

If Tenshin had more pop, he’d be awesome. Santillan was tough but a puncher, landing that cleanly, would have put him away. The Takei fight is going to be a ton of fun.

Buzzing. Nishida is the toughest test of Junto’s career. Slick southpaw & excellent body puncher. It’s whether he can get Nakatani’s respect & live with his power. I expect the championship rounds to be decisive for Junto. Whether it’s a KO or him winning those to seal it.

These two have wasted no time. My god, this is going to be special. Junto was advancing but a body shot from Nishida seemed to gain his respect. Until the final minute where they both traded up. Nakatani in a very real fight here.

Admiring the approach from Nishida but don’t love how cleanly he’s eating that backhand from Junto. 2-0 Nakatani.

Decent body work from Nishida in the fourth. That’s what he does best. But his right eye is badly swollen & Junto is landing that left hand with ease. Can’t see this going twelve.

Nishida is so damn tough. Right eye is completely shut & after shifting some serious damage in the fifth, he still doesn’t shy away in the sixth. However, this is all Junto at the moment.

Fight waved off. Junto is now the Ring Magazine, and unified WBC & IBF bantamweight world champion. Correct decision to stop the fight. Nishida was hanging in there but that eye was grotesque & the writing was on the wall.

The way Alcaraz turned it on for the championship tie-break was pretty f*cking special. Credit to both of them. One of the best sporting finals I’ve watched.

Sometimes a matchup randomly crops up that really grabs your interest. I hadn’t considered Noakes vs Mason because they have been on separate paths. But I would absolutely love to see that fight for a world title.

Liverpool have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz that could set a new British transfer record of £116 million. The fee is split between a £100 million guaranteed payment and then bonuses of up to £16 million. More Times Sport

Like that Aug. 16 card. Itauma will smoke Whyte, who is a known name, so that’s clever matchmaking. Cacace vs Ford is a banger — the best on the bill. Hrgovic vs Adeleye is cool. Tsutsumi-Ashfaq is incredibly random (and one-sided). Ball vs Goodman is the disappointing one.
