In 2018 a Toronto Catholic District School Board report to the board knew that any integrated IL model would be illegal and defy the education act. The ministry has not given and permission past 2019. why is this still happening.

I still have not figured out how school boards can openly ignore the education act. I just recieved this email from Ministry of ed. which says they do not "investigate the affairs of school boards" WHO DOES? Why do we have an act?

MisterDebuono I was admonished by a principal for asking my children's teacher if they were finding it difficult to fulfill curriuculum when the extended day was introduced. There is literally no one, except a small handful of parents and teachers ringing the alarm bells.

So I just found out that Toronto Catholic District School Board begins French in grade 1 when the French curriculum doesn't start until grade 4. This is just another reason why taking 2 hours away from curriculum instruction per week for IL is a huge issue
