If you are launching your startup and looking for your cofounder, PLEASE stop it now and save time. 3 years ago i was looking for a CTO cofounder for my first startup, and it was a nightmare !!! I saw 50 people : 48 didn't match because they were looking for a job with a salary.

At tht time we had no money to hire people, i wasn't paid either. 2 match, but it didn't work after less than a month of trying to work together : - 1 find an offer as a CTO with salary, i could not compete. - The other I didn't feel like working with him as a partner.

I lost 6 month looking a for cofounder... So i stop, and continue working on the startup alone. Then we raised some money and i was able to hire people. First hire was a TECH ! We worked hard together, took time to learn each other, share idea, values, hire people, etc.

After 1 year of working with him, he became CTO. Not cofounder, but still a great CTO. So if you are looking for a cofounder, two options : 1. You knwo someone who could fit, ask him/her. 2. You don't someone who could fit, take time working/knowing people, just like dating ;)
