Last Friday, our own Hon. Cari M. Steele took the oath of office before a packed house of friends, loved ones, & colleagues. She retires from the Commonwealth’s Attorneys office where she spent 20+ years, with the last 3 as its Chief Deputy. Welcome to the GDC Judge Steele! 👩🏼‍⚖️

Congrats to one of my most excellent Assistant Public Defenders, Cameron Williams, for winning the Arlington County Bar Association & Arlington Bar Foundation’s Young Trial Attorney award! In recognition he receives a scholarship to the Nat’l Trial Advocacy College in Charlottesville in January.

Really appreciated Arlington County Bar Association's community education program tonight for Mental Health Awareness Month. Very informative and important discussion about civil commitment proceedings. We need more community-based services to ensure individuals can receive follow-up treatment.
