Catholics are the most forgiving of ‘sin,’ and thus, among Christians, they harbor the least hatred for man. Verily, Catholicism stands as the most Faustian—the most vitalist—branch of Christianity. The Renaissance Catholic would never have ‘turned the other cheek.’

Philip II was an Olympic champion. In Homer, it is the noblest men who triumph in races and games. The Greeks knew the meaning of aristos in aristocracy: the Aristocrat stands in opposition to the Plutocrat. ‱Oligarchy is driven by desire. ‱Aristocracy by virtue.

King Latinus arrived, Mighty in his four-steed chariot; With twelve gold rays, encircling bright, His shining temples, bathed in light— Proof of his descent, divine and true, From the Unconquerable, Eternal, God of the Sun. Thus Vergil doth attest.

Egalitarianism is a slavish reaction to the eternal, unalterable state of the world: inequality. It is a transgression against the higher types, the value-bearers, the untamed. A vile attempt to elevate the vanquished and subdue the victors; an illusory triumph.

Deontologism? Eudaimonic ethics? The Heroic Ethic belongs to the creator who lives for their creation— to toil for the opus, to labor for the masterpiece; the eternal struggle between artisan and the formless. I have long ceased to strive for happiness; I strive for my work.

In art, in morality: What was once exalted is now branded as vice. Such is how the lowly conspire: they gnash their teeth at greatness, for they cannot partake in it; they gnash their teeth at beauty, for they cannot grasp it. Revolt must be crushed!

The tale of Prometheus is one of defiance; that of Genesis, submission. In Genesis, knowledge is a curse—be not fooled: Knowledge is a gift, meant to exalt, not humble, man. Woe to those who kneel before an unearthly god and call their shame virtue!

When in doubt whether it is Baroque or not, ask thyself: Does the beauty arise from simplicity, or from intricacy? If the form speaks in stillness—perfect, serene—then it is classical. If it is characterized by contortion, expression: it is Baroque—Hellenistic Baroque.

Many die too late. So loveth man himself, so loveth man his life, so loveth man his youth, that he chooses death over the final breath of a life withering in dishonor. Voluntary death—thus pertains to the noble soul.

“Meriones put a cleverly made leather helmet on [Odysseus’] head. On the inside there was a strong lining on interwoven straps
The outside was cleverly adorned all around with rows of white tusks from a shiny-toothed boar.” — Iliad 10.260–5 Homer is more than fiction.

Alexander was no stateman; he did not partake in politics. This was no flaw of his. Men who wield the sword have no business with the pen of law.

Liberalism killed 𝐏𝐱𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐬. The modern individual owes nothing to anyone—only to his happiness and comfort. There is no sense of duty. Not duty in the Kantian sense—rooted in old tables of values— but duty to the divine, to a cause beyond the self, to our highest hope.

Idol of the malformed; shrine to mundanity. Cursed be the hand that led the chisel. To whatever sickness spawned such ugliness, Dusk cometh—and with it, daybreak: transvaluation.

The Christ from Michelangelo’s Last Judgment is not the compassionate, Hebrew Christ
He is wrathful, youthful—undeniably đ©đšđ đšđ§. Only from such a spirit could the Renaissance have arisen. To Michelangelo, the divine pointed inwards, not heavenward—how Grecian!
