None of this would have happened without the first name on the call sheet: Titus Welliver. He became the full embodiment of Harry Bosch and that was the magic that fueled 10 seasons. As the guy who writes the books, I can’t tell you how lucky I got when he signed on.

I hugged him the night he died. He was about to join us in Tunisia to play a mad preacher in the Life of Brian. A lovely man. Sorely missed. Ironically I had to record Always Look on the Bright Side of Life next day. Not easy..

It’s good to know that Terry’s statue will be raised in his hometown of Colwyn Bay in Wales. I am designing a special feature for the statue where passers-by can pay for an argument. I should warn you all that the argument will go on for a long time.
