When you’re doing your “new year, new me” thing can you please resolve to stop conflating your students’ poverty with their will to learn, literacy “levels” (whatever that means), & engagement in school. Poverty is neither identity, nor destiny. ❤️Love, A Teacher Who Grew Up Poor
