Geolocator #Arctic_Terns G65 and G40 paired in 2017 & 2018 doi.org/10.1186/s40657…. Arctics abandoned Inner Farne in 2021. With return of Rangers in 2022, and G65 and G40, also returned and raised a chick together.

Ringing chicks and nesting Arctic Terns in Northumberland reveals high natal philopatry but dispersal to non-natal sites is mainly by females. Recruitment is not affected by the presence of public visitors and females breed at an earlier age than males. doi.org/10.1111/ibi.13…
