New study of 26,000 Covid cases in the Kaiser Permanente system finds that 3 doses of Moderna had a 99.2% effectiveness against hospitalization with Omicron (and 99+% against Delta), with no significant waning over time.

If they could, #avocados would send you spicy texts all day and then the minute you get home, they'd have a #headache and go to bed.

Does WestJet understand that there are laws that protect disabled people from rights violations? And that there are explicit laws that give disabled people rights to privacy, dignity and protection from discrimination. Today for WestJet flight 1789 I had my rights violated. 1/

The Air Carrier Access Act states that passengers with disabilities who request preboarding must be allowed to "board the plane before all other passengers." This is to allow us space to board safely and with dignity and privacy. WestJet 2/

Here you can see WestJet agents boarding other passengers before me, despite confirming I needed an aisle chair and was waiting to preboard. When I asked why I wasn’t boarding first they told me they don’t do that. That the policy was changed. 3/

So WestJet - let’s talk about the #ableism and rights violations I experienced today. I was told I have to board “second” and that was always the policy. That’s a lie. I know my rights. When I was transferring to the aisle chair people were still boarding. 4/

The aisle chair strap didn’t fit so the #LAS employee didn’t properly strap me in. Which was dangerous. The @westjet agents watched him move me without assistance or proper procedure. Passengers and staff stared. I panicked. #ableism 6/

Once on the crowded WestJet plane the flight attendant told me I had to sit in the window seat and it had always been policy. That’s not true either. I always sit in the aisle because transferring is difficult. He insisted it was a safety concern. 7/

He allowed my friend to switch seats with me as she had the aisle. But only after I repeatedly refused and told him I couldn’t get to the window easily. He sighted that if there was an emergency others would need to climb over me and it was unsafe. WestJet 8/

He was very concerned for the safety of able bodied passengers in a hypothetical emergency but not my very real comfort and safety as a disabled person. WestJet this is wrong. #ableism 9/

#Vancouver, if you can smell the smoke from the fire on East Hastings, **close your windows right now!** If you're outside, put on a mask/get indoors. Source at the Fire Department tells me that the fire is burning plastic and asbestos and the smoke is a significant health hazard
