This evening the Arborfield Police operated at a call involving the Mayor of Arborfield being taken hostage, Chief Faachiano took scene command while operatives from SCSO:SWAT and FBI agents worked on getting the mayor back unharmed, the mayor was released unharmed.

Today the Arborfield Police provided security for the annual Arborfield Derby.

After a rainy morning, the afternoon opened up to a devasting tornado that rampaged through the city, destroying anything in its path. APD quickly mobilized officers to assist in the aftermath and shelter citizens.

Mayor Eglz and Deputy Mayor FoxyTheWereFox attended the Stapleton County mayors meeting. It was good to address concerns and talk about the future.

While Mayor Eglz and Deputy Mayor Foxy were going around town, we came across Stapleton County Fire putting out a fire in our trailer homes. The resident was able to exit safely and arranged a place to go.

Earlier today the Mayor Eglz alongside Emdy Coffee had a Coffee with The Mayor event. Citizens were able to get there coffee and ask the Mayor questions.

Earlier this evening, there was an officer involved shooting at the City of Arborfield Motel which left two APD officers injured. SCFD quickly responded and issued life saving measures. Thank you to those heroes that were involved in assisting them!

Earlier today around 3:30 PM EST, Officers from the Arborfield Police Department responded to mutual aid requested by the Redwood Police Department for an active shooter. Officers from APD & RPD coordinated on the scene to execute a breach and stop the threat.
