Scammers persuade ad firm they are talking with a BBC presenter. The firm then pays the scammers a fee to use the presenter’s likeness to promote a product. The presenter is (not unreasonably) upset, the ad company apologetic, and the scammers 20k richer. theguardian.com/technology/202…
