The new World Health Organization South-East Asia Regional Director Saima Wazed thanked Member States.
I started my World Health Organization (WHO) #EB154 remarks yesterday thanking #Bangladesh & World Health Organization South-East Asia Member States for electing me. I ended by thanking Prime Minister #SheikhHasina for teaching me, as my mother, how to lead with compassion & care for those who are disenfranchised and in need.
During her visit to Nepal, USG Izumi Nakamitsu also met with a diverse group of CSOs. They discussed youth and women in #disarmament, #capacitybuilding, #cybersecurity, and #AI. Working with partners is at the core of UNRCPD’s work to strengthen peace and security in the region.
