Thatch Winery. Whites were lightly oak so some butteryness. More in Donna's pallette. Reds not in my wheelhouse; however, I think the Tannat and Petit Verdot might really improve laying down for a year or 2

Micheal Shaps Winework. Very good selection of wine. Well worth the driving up the dirt a bit farther

Mountain Cove Vineyard. Supposedly oldest vineyard in the area. Definitely unique environment and Donna liked most of their wines.

Virginia Distilling Company very nice looking place. Donna and I enjoyed the Flagship and Bourbon cask strength. Would have loved to taste a few addition products but didn't want to become felons or get bartenders in trouble. VA liquor laws are lagging

Starting the weekend of with a solid pour. I really liked it nice balance of flavors that I would describe as a caramel covered atomic fireball. Donna got Vicks Vapor Rub

Sometimes when we some free time, like to help our friends Olde Raleigh Distillery bottle. Batch 7, I'd recommend, I think Donna and I'll need a few more sips to compare it to the others... Membership has its perks

Donna never complains about the whiskey I buy.... as long as the first pour is with... Fair enough.. I'll take that trade. Tonight's tasting Jack Daniel's Triple Mash. Lives up to the tasting notes and Donna likes it so.... guess what I keeping on the shelf
