Breeding Bird Survey volunteers have also had the option to take part in the Wider Countryside Butterfly Survey (WCBS) on their squares since 2009. Around 300 Breeding Bird Surveys volunteers contribute to this survey each year on their squares.

Weather (17 degrees and sunny 👏) finally gave me a chance for my 1st Chalk Cherries and Chairs Team Tracking the Impact WCBS survey today 👍 2 Green Hairstreaks the highlight. Got bit sidetracked by Grass Snake and Slow Worms under the reptile tins 🤫 and the amazing Fly Orchids too 👍
