#DRACULA NOTEBOOKS I will never forget my excitement on seeing Stoker's handwritten research notes for #Dracula 1890-97. He writes 'No looking glasses in the Count's house' his #vampire will have no reflection & 'no shadow'. Awesome. Happy #WorldDraculaDay darklings!!

Newly discovered just outside of Verona, what could be this year's biggest discovery - an almost entirely intact Roman mosaic villa floor!

This tiny boxwood peapod (~4 inches) was carved in the 1500s. It opens to reveal little peas, and then those peas open to reveal little carved stories

I wanted to pick some flowers from our yard before our grass was mown. I found this baby mushroom (and also a colony of mushrooms) and I knew it would get chopped up by the lawnmower so I stole it to press. Someone be honest are the fairies mad at me? 😂

If you hold an old letter up to a lamp, you might see a filigree of light (in the shape of a crown, a coat of arms or even a unicorn!) appearing in the paper. These are watermarks. Discover the complex, scientific techniques required to record watermarks: orlo.uk/Wrozd
