“You can kill people if you’re scared” is a very dangerous thing to say to white ppl who have built an entire culture based on being scared of other people

According to Amina Maamouri, Nova Tebbe, MPH, & Chris Unterberger, there are no US universities that have formalized Health in All Policies—a collaborative approach to consider health and equity into policymaking. Find their recommendations to UW–Madison here: doi.org/10.38126/JSPG1…

Delta is surging in the US NE, SW, & Midwest. Omicron will likely weakening protection from prior infection & vaccines though we need more data. We have no idea how long this is going to go on for. We need to start thinking about a long-term regulatory framework for covid. /1

I am baffled at CDC’s decision to shorten isolation. Here are tests from the same person: day 0 (3 days after exposure) and day 8. The person still has a huge amount of virus in their nose 8 days after testing positive. n=59. Quickest clearance 6 days, longest (vacc) 8.5 days.

Given how many times I’ve had to say ‘No, that’s NOT at all what the new CDC guidelines say!’ in the last few hours, I’m guessing this ain’t gonna go well.

The biggest problem with CDC guidance on those with Covid returning to work is not what it says but what it will be USED to do It will not be used by many employers to ALLOW employees to return to work. It will be used by many employers to REQUIRE employees to return to work

Our public schools are now ranked 8th in the nation, up from 18th under the previous administration. We’ve made tremendous strides in education and we’re going to keep working hard for our kids.
