‘When it costs money to be open, there’s no point.’ Tough decisions having to be made by pubs up and down the country after the 1st April tax raid on pubs. No longer can we just open to pay HMRC!

Bloody hell, we don’t need to be open LATER! We can’t afford to staff the hours we are open now. If this is the solution proposed to save hospitality then I’m afraid that we are rather royally f&@ked. Please don’t tell me you had these people round a table this is what you asked?

British Steel, losing £700k a day, employs 2,700 people. Gov jumping in to save the day and land the tax payer with the cost of employing 2,700 people at £700k a day, bailing out the overseas owner. UK hospitality employs over 1m, and Gov is willfully taxing it into extinction.
