Urging people to be positive doesn’t boost their resilience. It denies their reality. When times are tough, we don’t need good vibes only. We need a hand to keep us steady through all the vibrations. Strength doesn’t come from forced smiles. It comes from feeling supported.

A very thought provoking & enjoyable day alongside other agencies at the Trauma Informed Approach workshop led by Lancashire Violence Reduction Network Dr Warren Larkin. An interest both personally & professionally for me as stats show 50-70% of people will experience a trauma at some point in their life.
